LGIAsuper is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural LGIAsuper Community Volunteer Award in partnership with the Queensland Young Achiever Awards.
The prestigious 2017 Queensland Young Achiever Awards officially launched on 6 September. The awards applaud leadership, vision and commitment, while fostering the pursuit of excellence and highlighting the efforts and success of young Queenslanders making meaningful contributions to their community.
The LGIAsuper Community Volunteer Award covers all aspects of volunteering including (but not restricted to) youth at risk, the homeless and disadvantaged, emergency services, health, aged care and not for profit organisations. Nominees are community volunteers who, through exceptional leadership and support to others, demonstrate innovative ways to achieve excellence beyond what is expected of them.
This award gives recognition and the chance to say thank you to these young achievers striving to strengthen the future of their communities by volunteering their time and skills to a cause they are passionate about.
Nominations are now closed. Thank you to everyone who nominated a young achiever for the LGIAsuper Community Volunteer Award category. By supporting each other and working toward a better future, we can make the world a better and happier place, one community initiative at a time. Stay tuned, winners will be announced on the Queensland Young Achiever's Awards website on 5 May 2017.
