LGIAsuper sponsored game cheerleaders

LGIAsuper put smiles and Howdy Hats on Cowboys fans as match day sponsors of last Saturday’s game at 1300SMILES Stadium.

Fans enjoyed a great night full of football and entertainment despite the Melbourne Storm ending the Cowboys 2016 season home game winning streak when they defeated the 2015 NRL Premiers 16-8.

Ultimate game day and guard of honour competition

LGIAsuper sponsored game ultimate game day winnersBefore kickoff, 20 lucky winners of LGIAsuper’s Ultimate game day competition enjoyed a private pre-game tour of the vacant Cowboys dressing room and behind the scenes stadium facilities.

Each winner also took part in an exclusive guard of honour experience to cheer on the Cowboys as they ran onto the field.

Try for 5! half time entertainment

LGIAsuper sponsored game Try for 5At half time, LGIAsuper and the Cowboys showed their support for the Try for 5! initiative in an on-field entertainment challenge.

Two Garbutt State School students were selected to participate in the obstacle course event as a reward for attending school 100% of the time.

The head-to-head challenge saw the kids compete across five activities including putting on a Cowboys shirt and an LGIAsuper backpack, kicking a football, hula hooping and wearing an LGIAsuper Howdy Hat while running to the finish line.

Congratulations to Eddie and Henry who both received a football signed by their favourite team and medal for their efforts.

Fans support their number one team and Hub charity

LGIAsuper sponsored game lady at hubOn Saturday many new and regular Howdy Club members visited the LGIAsuper Community Hub to collect exclusive Cowboys merchandise and connect with this week’s charity.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Hub to help Townsville’s City Libraries raise awareness of the ‘Dads Read’ program.  Dads Read aims to spread the word about the vital role fathers and families play in helping their kids develop life-long reading and literacy skills.

We look forward to seeing our Howdy Club members and Cowboys fans at 1300SMILES Stadium again for the next home game on Saturday 20 August against New Zealand Warriors.
